tech article 3/15/13

The Smart Video technology utilizes the front-facing camera to track the viewer's eyes to automatically control playback of videos. For example, looking away from the phone will cause the video to pause and returning your gaze will resume the clippp.  In addition to the Smart Video feature, LG has introduced a dual-camera function that simultaneously snaps photos from the front-facing and rear cameras. Creating a picture-in-picture imagee, LG says this allows users to become part of the story and not just an observer.

Tech Article 3/8

  • MLB is changing the dugout to bullpen communication
  • T-Mobile made a phone that uses geofencing
  • The service doesn't get interfered with fans using their cell phones in the stands
  • The phone is made so that it can only be used in the dugout and the bullpen
  • If it is attempted to be used in the stands or the clubhouse, the service is blocked

Tech Article 3/4

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. The word "vitesse" means speed or velocity. This car reaches up to 200+ mph, therefore the "vitesse" was used apporpriately in the naming of this car. It has a 1200-bhp quad-turbo W-16 engine.  This propels the Super Sport to 268 mph, the current world record for a production car. The car will likely slingshot to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds. Although the car will likely be limited to just 258 mph for tire reasons.

Do Now 3/1

If I could go back in time, I would go to my last Little League All Star game.  I would change  the end of the game by fielding that last ground ball and throwing the runner out at the plate.  We would've went into extra innings and most likely won.  Then we would've gone to the District Finals for the second year in a row and could have won, that would make us the first Wood-Ridge Little League All Stars to win Districts back to back.
